National Public Radio recently had a show re: transracial adoption. I think it's worth listening to and it talks about the negative effects of raising a transracial child with a "color blind" viewpoint.
Although technically Mila and I are the same race (Hispanic which is considered "white" in the census), I think issues related to color and culture will always be at the forefront of my mind in raising her.
