Here are some updates:
1. Mila continues to be a good eater. She is on what I call the "see food" diet. She basically wants any food that she sees. She has started to go into the food cupboard and pick out things she wants (e.g., pretzels, granola bars, raisens, almonds, cereal, etc.). Pretzels are her favorite. She has also shown a love for eggplant (thanks to Tiff) and sausage. She starts fussing/crying when I take the sausage out to cook it in the microwave.....I cannot get it cooked fast enough.....she wants it immediately! The same goes for anything she sees that she wants that needs to be cooked (e.g. pasta, etc.). She is a growing girl and I cannot wait until her 18 month check up next week. To me, she seems to have grown a ton since her 15 month appointment.
2. Speaking of growing, she now wears mostly 18 month clothes but tonight, I put her in 24 month jammies (thanks Lynette!). She seems to be tall and is busting out of her 18 month jammies. Her feet are still small and she still fits best into 6-12 month socks and 12 month shoes.
3. This past month, particularly the past few weeks have involved a language explosion for Mila. Before, she would say "hi," "bye", "mama" and some other basic words. Now - I cannot begin to capture all that she can say. I guess I should write it down. She can pretty much mimic anything you say......but the pronunciation is not always clear. A few things I know she says are: night, night, book, bubbles (very clearly), and more milk.
4. People may wonder whether I still check on her at night. Yep! Still do. Usually 3-4 times before I go to bed. Once again, not because I am worried but because I truly do love watching my girl sleep. She's a good sleeper and doesn't wake up when I touch her/give her lovin in the middle of the night. And- just look how cute she is when she's sleeping!
5. Mila continues to be VERY active! She loves to run, climb, and just be moving constantly. This past month I had a fence/gate installed at the back of my house to keep her in the backyard. It has been so nice to be able to let her roam around the backyard without worrying about her taking off into the street. She continues to LOVE to be outside and we are out there, every day after work until dinner time. It will be rough for her (and me) when the weather gets colder/days get shorter.

6. Mila continues to love music and dancing. I am hoping to get her into some sort of "Mommy and Me" music/dance class (or gymnastics) in January when the weather is bad and we are stuck inside. "Ring around the Rosey" is one of her favorites.
7. Mila continues to love to look at books. It's so cool to me as I am sure I was never exposed to books this early. What is fun is that she is starting to predict certain things in books (e.g., like - what's under the flap of the book). Even though she is very active, she seems to have an interest in sitting, every once and awhile and looking at books.
