The Bob Jogging Stroller. I love it! I got it as a gift from my co-workers and absolutely love it! We use it as often as possible.....including during travel. When I go through security- I just tell them it's too big to break down and they do a "hand wand" check on it. It also holds kids up to around 70lbs (I think) so she we have will have many years of use out of this gift.

I absolutely LOVE the Munchkin duck tub! Mila has been in it since she was four months old and - truth be told- she's still in it at 14 months old! Mostly- it saves water and keep her secure (less likely t0 fall over). Love it!
She had fun playing with it outside of the tub too
I love to travel and looked at a lot of different options for Mila in terms of infant/toddler inflatable beds. Most are VERY big/bulky and come with their own suitcase. I love this because it folds up really small, had a self inflating air mattress and a carrying case that fits her blankets/sheets. This one is the Pea Pod Plus available from Amazon.
I started making baby food for Mila when she was around 4 months old. She didn't really like it all that much and switched to solid foods really quickly. I bought these containers from "One Step Ahead" and I still use them for snacks for daycare, food on the go, etc. They have a lid that screws on which is really nice for taking food on the go.

Once again, because I love to travel I was looking for a light weight car seat that was also safe. We have a Britax carseat which is nice, but REALLY bulky/heavy and would not be fun to travel with (it's also a pain to take in and out of the car). After doing some research, I found the Cosco Scenara which is surprisingly inexpensive, has excellent safety ratings, is VERY easy to install, and is very lightweight. I am very happy with this purchase as a travel and extra carseat for when her Uncle Jay picks her up from daycare.

I would love to hear about your favorites.....particularly any single adoptive moms who have found products/items helpful.
The following comment is from a single mom, Donna, who has be nice to share her favorite baby products.

I also wanted to share 3 other products I love!!
The first is for babies under a yr. old-

It is the Baby trend snap and go. WHen I was shopping for a car seat the sales person was so helpful. Even though I bought a Graco car seat, I bought the newer graco 32 (Which hold children up to 32 lbs and 32 inches- they now have a 35 model out) Anyway, the baby trend snap and go holds the larger car seats best! I know when I brought Anna home from Utah this was a life saver and I love it for everyday use- if she is sleeping I just pop the car seat in and go! And the best part! It weighs only 12 lbs. And it accepts a lot of different car seat brands! (I also love that the baby faces you!
The next- http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3247729
It is a super seat. Similar to the bumbo but it has lots of extras! I love it! Anna loves the toys that are on the ring that goes around it! I do take the toys' ring off and do wish it was easier to do, but I still love it. Because it becomes a booster seat it has the non skid bottom so even at just under 4 months I bring it to resturants and she sits at the table (not the whole time) but it is great and she loves it!
The last is another stroller. http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=4089526
This was a shower gift and I love it! It is a light weight stroller by Chicco! I love it! It hold children from birth to 40 lbs. I started using it about a month ago (when Anna was about 3 months old) I love it because it is light and very easy to get around with!
I bought a BOB stroller Sunday after realizing my Kolcraft (which I love for running errands) isn't going to hold up to long walks on uneven ground/trails with baby and dog. Having seen you with yours, I know I'll like it once I get the time to take it out of the box!
ReplyDeleteAlso, at your recommendation, I purchased a play mat. The Boppy Entertain Me Play Gym is a big hit in my house! The butterfly lights up and has two settings.

Thanks for the travel bed recommendation. It looks like a fantastic option when camping too.
My contribution - two toys my newborn can't do without. Bright Starts Hop Along car seat toy. My son loves it! At 6wks old he figured out how to [randomly probably] turn the music on by pressing the frog's eyes. I strapped it to his crib when he was two weeks old. It hasn't made it to his car seat yet.

The other toy he likes is Baby Whoozit. He bats at it to hear the jingles. There are also a number of places for him to grab hold as he learns to grasp objects. Rattles are still too large for his tiny hands.
