Single Women Adopting Group get together December 2009

SWAC December 2009 was held at Marji's house. We had a great time and exchanged books as a sort of "white elephant" activity. Not sure all folks ended up with books (sorry Tiff/Solomon) but, overall, it was a great idea.

Mila's 9 Months Old!

My sweet girl is 9 months old! I cannot believe it....already through 3/4 of a year! At times it makes me sad to see her grow up so fast.....she's not a baby anymore.

She weighs 16 lbs, 9 oz (15th percentile) and is 27 1/4 inches tall (40th percentile). Although she is small, her doctor is happy with her growth and says she's right on track. Here are some updates:
*Mila is crawling up a storm but prefers to stand and play or pulll to standing wherever she is. She still has the crab walk crawl....not sure she'll ever do a typical crawl.

*She is cutting her third tooth......a top one but not in the very front....it's to the side - interesting. She is drooling even more (is that possible?) and is a bit more fussy. When we are alone, she basically does not like me to leave the room and often cries when I do. She has truly become a mama's girl......and yes-we have to transition to daycare next month ;)

* She babbles a lot including dada, mama, baba, and gaga. Dada is still her most frequent babble but so far- no words in reference to people.

*She is sleeping well throught the night but is still what I consider a short napper (45 min to an hour). If she sleeps over an hour I start to worry that something is wrong and do lots of checking.
I love you Miss Mila! So happy you are in my life!
